Evaluation

This project is a tourism website. The purpose of this website is to promote my hometown Changchun and to be able to let more people know about the city. To show them real pictures and videos so that they can see the real city of spring. Because of this mentality I chose to create a website project. now covid-19 is a thing of the past, the website could have a larger audience. It allows people from all over the world to come to Changchun to experience the scenery and the food. This website could also increase the interaction between the users and the website.

In the current Internet age, people of all ages go to the Internet to browse through things. This website is not just for young people, but also for the middle-aged and elderly. This website allows users to visually see all the sights and cuisines, and to view what interests them by clicking on the page they want to view. The text and videos on the site help users to understand more about the attractions and food.By people recommending each other and displaying the website on school computers to attract our target audience. Ideally, I would like this website to be highly accessible to any user in an easy way, so this website can be accessed by anyone. This site can also be accessed by scanning a QR code. People are more likely to access it via a mobile device and users will be directed to the appropriate website.

For me, the highlight of the whole site is the site design and site navigation. The logo and background make it intuitive that this is a travel site with mountains and water. Hover your mouse over the navigation and you can jump straight to the attraction you are interested in. The history of Spring City dates back to the Stone Age, then to the ancient Chinese state, and to our present society. It is known as the "Spring City of the North". It is one of the most famous old industrial bases in China and one of the film production bases of the new China. It has not only industrial technology, but also many beautiful landscapes and cultural sites. It is located in the northeast of China, the terrain is relatively flat, and the temperature is cold and dry. It is also rated as the most enthusiastic city in China (Fuchs & Höpken, 2011).There are many people who would deliberately smear my hometown, and this is what I want to express, and I want to present it to users in the most visual way possible. I don't want people to know Changchun by what others say about it, but to judge it with their own eyes. This is part of the reason why I used my hometown as the theme of my website.

There are also shortcomings in my production of the website. In the initial design of the site, many of the images were not clickable, which was not a good design. After thinking about it, I thought that the first thing users want to do when they see an image they are interested in is to click on it, not just to see an image, which is not in line with interaction design.
